This Weekend

This weekend we were kinda busy, but we were busy with mostly fun stuff. On Friday night we went to see Sex and the City...it was GREAT! I will admit that it didn't have the same "magic" as the series...but how could it? They did a great job with keeping the characters true to the series...there were some hysterical parts, and dirty humor that you would expect from Sex and the City. The costumes were nothing less than I had expected, and you leave the theater feeling good about where everyone in the movie ended up....I love that! All in all I give the movie an 8 out of 10.

On saturday morning we went over to grandma Bernadines to paint her whole apartment (oh joy). We got there at about 8:45 am and finished at about 2:00 pm. Her apartment is super tiny but she has HUNDREDS of porciline dolls hanging on her walls...lots of furniture that we had to try and navigate around, a dog that got into the paint, and the paint SUCKED! We couldn't use Sherwin Williams paint becuase she lives in government approved houseing and we had to use the paint they supplied...it looked like milk with clumps in it. But we got it done, and she we so grateful to have our help. She kept telling us that she doesn't know what she would do if we weren't around to help her do everything. We love her.

Saturday night was so much fun! After we painted we went home and took a nap and then got ready and went up to Rexburg for 1964 The Tribute. It's a cover band for the Beatles. It was soo great! They sounded just like the Beatles and they even played the parts very well. They had the accents, mannerisms, outfits, and haircuts. My dad felt like he was back in high school and sang along with every song. The stadium was filled with people of every age and everyone knew the songs...it was amazing. Im sure it wasn't as amazing as seeing the actual beatles woulda been....but it was the next best thing. They are supposed to be coming back to the area next year, so if you haven't had a chance to see them you should shoot for next year!
