Two Mothers

I know that I post about adoption a lot, and you may all be getting sick of it, but it is such a huge part of my life. Any time I hear anything about adoption...weather it be a song, a poem, a story, or a personal experience it brings me back to that time. I hold all of it very close to my heart, and after a while I feel like if I don't let it out in some way or another (usually it comes out my eyeballs in the form of tears and Josh feels bad and doesn't know what to do about it) I feel like I will burst! So I'm starting to use part of my blog as my emotional relese. Anyways....I found this poem/story on a blog while I was blog lurking, I don't who she is, and I hope that she doesn't mind that I took this off of her blog. Enjoy!

"Once there were two expectant mothers. One carried and cared for you beneath her beating heart. She became your birthmother. The other carried the hope of you within her. She became your Mom.
As the days passed, and you grew bigger and stronger, Your Birthmother knew that she could not give you all you needed after your birth. Meanwhile, your Mom was ready and waiting for you.
One day your Birthmom and your Mom found each other. They looked into each other’s eyes and saw a friend. Your Birthmom saw the life your Mom could give you. Your Mom saw how much your Birthmom loved and cared for you.
They decided that what you needed was both kinds of love in your life. So now you have two families, one by birth, the other by adoption. And you have a home where you can get: your questions answered, your boo boos bandaged, your heartaches soothed, And much needed hugs. And a place where you can find: answers to your questions, your image in the mirror, a part of yourself, And much needed hugs.
Two different kinds of families Two different kinds of love, Both a part of you."

This is a picture from last summer of Seth and his two mothers (I know its not a flattering picture of me. I look prego and im not, but it is a super cute one of Seth). We both love him so much.

Don't worry about others if they are sick about adoption. It's your blog and if you are feeling it, POST IT! Love it. This always expresses things perfectly. Sweet boy with so much love. Little girl in my ward that overheard her mom talking to me about her birth mom and she looks up at me and says "hay I'm adopted" thought it was too cute. So proud of her heritage so to speak. Excited that open adoption helps kids to be ok with their amazing journey. Sacred journey at that.

Adoption stuff makes me ball my eyes out and I don't have the experience to justify the tears. It just gets to ya. But hey if I feel like an emotional release I can read your emotional release.
