Thinking

So I'm sitting here at work with a cup of hot tea (my favorite) and thinking about the weekend and the upcoming week. We had a fantastic weekend. It started off with me not wanting to make dinner friday night so Josh took me to RedRobin...and it wasn't good. The fries were mushy and the burgers were sub-par. My burger actually made me a little sick. So after the not so great dinner we decided that we needed something sweet...so we went to Baskin Robbins...yum! Then we went home and got into our "comfys" (thats what we call our sweats..yes we have random words for things) and watched 21. It was a pretty cool movie (we love Kevin Spacy)...lots of action and a few fun twists and turns. We also watched some Bones.

It's a fun TV show on Fox, and if you haven't seen it yet you really should.

Saturday was just a regular saturday for the most part. We don't usually do anything for Valintines day so Josh went and played pool with a buddy and then he came home and we went shopping and met his sister and mom for lunch at Fridays (so good and so much better than Red Robin). My mom had dinner for us that night, so we went up the the "Burg" and spend a few hours there with my family (now if only I could get her to email me the pictures). It was good food, my mom had the kitchen decorated super cute for the holiday, and it was really fun to hang out with all my brothers.

Sunday we got up and went to the gym (we are getting better at going regularly) and then went up to Joshs moms house for Amandas birthday. Patti made and really yummy turkey lasagna and we just hung out and played with a tired and cranky Mya. Josh helped me make dinner that night (which I love)..and we just hung out and relaxed before the week started again.

Now it's monday morning and I got an email from Krist and Riley (Seth's parents). A few weeks ago they wrote telling me that Riley had been diagnosed with testicular cancer! I was so sad and scared for him. But todays email told me that he had had surgery and that they got all of the cancer and that he would be fine. Riley said that Seth was a great little helper and caregiver. I was so glad to hear from them! I love that little family. It's going to be a busy week, I'm taking Grandma Bernadine to the doctor today and she will need surgery sometime this week as well (at least that is what we are kinda hoping for), the poor woman is pretty uncomfortable. Josh and I like to take care of her. We take her to her appointments and to lunch once a week. I usually take her to do her shopping once a week as well. It gives me a chance to really get to know and love her...she is so sweet.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. We are going to a Jazz game! We have really good seats...and we get to stand in the tunnel and cheer the players as they head out onto the floor! I'm mostly just excited to get out of town and spend some quality time with Josh. His whole family will be at the game, but we are driving alone and staying in our own hotel room (is it weird that I love to stay in hotels?). We are going to have so much fun!

This is a super boring post for most of you...I know that, but I like to type this kind of stuff out so that I can look back and remember what I was up to and how I was feeling. I hope everyone had a fun weekend and has a great week!
