yes we are still planning on building our house...it's just taken about 6 months to get all of the loans approved and all of the paperwork in and finished. and as of yesterday we are ALL approved to build and on friday we should have our building permits! wahoo!!! i can't believe that it's finally happening. we are so grateful to be in the rental house that we are in...but we CANNOT wait to get into our own place that we can call home and actually feel like that's what it is...our home. i'm sure there will be a lot of drama from here on out...mostly from me about decisions that i'm not sure how to make....but it will all be worth it in the end. we are sooo excited!!!

i can't leave you all without a little update on our little bug...
he loves to suck on his fingers...he is laughing now...he has briefly found his toes...
he likes to "stand" and "talk"...and he's trying to roll over!
he likes his sling (leslie...am i wearing it right? and please ignore how odd i look in this one)...and it's nice because it gives me two free hands to do dishes and fold laundry or whatever when he just wants to be held. i LOVE it, and i totally recomend it to anyone who has or is having a baby...it can be worn three different ways to suit you and your little one. find them at
cornflower attic (she also makes totes and nursing covers).

Oh yeah, I'm so glad you figured out how to use the sling. I so wish I had had one of those with my kids.
I'm so glad you are both liking the sling. As long as he is comfy and you are too, you are wearing it right. Good luck with the house plans!!!
