mother's and birth mother's day!

i hope everyone had a great birth mother/ mother's day weekend. we all know that mother's day is a well known holiday (and i'm so glad that it is), but did you know that birth mother's day is an actual holiday as well (the saturday before mother's day)? we didn't do anything to celebrate, but just knowing that it was a holiday in honor us birth mother's was very heartwarming. it's always a tough weekend for those of us who have placed, but it's wonderful at the same time. i won't get into it, but it's really bitter sweet.

we had a great weekend with our mothers...full of cookouts, great food, gifts, golfing, and a lot of fun company and conversation. it's so fun to get together and just focus on our mom's and remember how lucky we are to have them.

so i hope that you all had a great weekend, and i hope that you honored your mother's, and if you have birth moms in your life, i hope you remembered them as well.
