thanksgiving weekend

we had a great thanksgiving weekend. it all started with buying a new vehicle on wednesday night! i don't have pictures of it just yet, but we love it. it's a ford escape and it fits our little family perfectly. it was sad to leave josh's prelude tho, it was a good car and took josh on many many many pearl jam trips over the years, but it was time to move on and get a vehicle better suited for us (and for winter).
on thursday we woke up and started cooking. we hosted thanksgiving this year at our place. joshs family and some friends came over, brought good food, and spent the afternoon with us. josh cooked an amazing turkey, ham and green bean casserole (he did most of the cooking and cleanup....how lucky am i?). i cooked mashed potatoes (josh was helping peel the spuds and took a good chunk out of his finger...ouch), and yams. everything turned out great! so thankful for all that we have.
friday we packed up and took a quick trip down to utah to see the jazz game in box seats provided by some family friends. it was so much fun! i forgot my camera, so i had to use my phone....and these are the only pictures i got (not good at all...stone won't sit still long enough for me to get a good one....but they are better than nothing)
stone has just learned the word "wow"...he said it a lot the night of the jazz game, mostly when we let him look over the edge down onto the court.

sitting on daddys lap watching the game...he was so good! we got him his own jazz t-shirt and he was super cute in it
gotta wear the winter hat...it's cold out!
this is the only picture i got of josh all weekend. how sad is that (i think it's good one tho...he looks best in candid shots)? i need to be better about taking a camera with me everywhere.
we had a really fun trip, and our ford got us around great! so nice to have something that we feel super safe in.
we came home staurday and the rest of the weekend was spend just hanging out. it was a nice, busy weekend. now...let the christmas shopping, decorating, and music begin!
happy holidays!

Sounds like a fun time! You should keep your camera in your diaper bag. That way you always have it!
