we are trying to get back into the swing of things now that the holidays are over. we are back to work, and back to getting up before the sun. we had a fun new years eve celebration...we had a few of joshs work friends over and their kids...we didn't think that we'd make it to midnight...but we did....we actually made it to 2:00am! everyone just put their babies down to sleep and we stayed up playing poker and chatting. i haven't been up that late since HS! we had a lot of fun...and it's funny how when i was just a little yonger staying up past midnight was a normal occurance, and it had almost ne effect on me....now...it definatley has an effect! haha. new years day...as i was walking around in a sleepy haze i kept thinking about what a big year it's been for us. at the end of 09 we moved out of our cozy little home (while i was 9 months pregnant) running on faith that we would be building a new one, and that it would be done in 3 months (sounds funny now) and in the meantime we would have a baby and live out of boxes (it was only gonna be for 3 months right?). we had our sweet baby, and we lived out of boxes just as planned. then 2010 hit and it wasn't the year we thought it would be.....is it ever? in 2010:
we raised a baby into a toddler (it's been so much fun)
it took a year but we built a new home
went to a few jazz games
lost another dog (we miss our wolfie)
lived only partially moved into our "temp home" and realized we didn't miss the stuff in storage THAT much.
josh turned 31
i turned 26 (and josh got me a kindle! it's the only way to read a book!)
stone turned 1
played "easter bunny" for the very first time
played "santa" for the very first time
watched our baby learn to crawl, walk, and talk
had a few sleepless nights
got addicted to a few tv shows (office and glee anyone?)
my mom and i got to go see seth over the summer, and stone got to meet his 1/2 brother
bought a new car
got fancy new phones that in the end...we aren't sure if we like
had to get a 4-wheeler with a blade to scrape snow off our driveway
read a few books
all while working full time!
whew! it's been a fun and stressful year but we feel so blessed to be where we are in our lives. here's to 2011, and here's to wishing you all a fantastic year!

Looks like you had a good 2010. You had to get a 4-wheeler? Welcome to having a house. It requires a lot of things. Lawn mower, 4 wheelers, swingset, tramp etc. :)
I think it's great that you've re- capped the year. It sounds like you have been busy busy!! You're family is adorable. Glad to see you're doing well.
